I gobbled this book up! I just enjoyed it so much. The hero is the exact opposite of toxic masculinity, and the heroine is a strong, intelligent woman. They both have to deal with their issues to be together.

The writing is really great. I love the author’s diction and character development. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I don't know I really needed more, more passion chemistry I could only see them In the last 50 pages. The characters are really adorable especially Martin. overall really cute and funny (at times).
3 stars because its a plus size mc and a soft adorable caring Martin.

I just can’t stand awkward grand gestures, teachers who treat prom like it’s meant for them and not the students, or the names Martin, Brandi and Barton. Otherwise great.

DNF @ 25% This has a a lot going for it, teachers, over 40 romance, etc, but it's not clicking for me. I just don't like these characters. Like IDK if I even dislike them per se, but they seem so unrealistic, made up, utterly fake and unbelievable, to the point of being sort of grating. We get it, he's PERFECT and like so woke and not toxic and perfect, and she's very prickly, but also so warm and kind and icy and reserved, and good to kids and caring, and very prickly and reserved. And like that's it. Do they have inner lives lives, any real connection, any personality? Not really. So I just don't care enough to keep reading.
