ROSE!!!

One of my favorite heroines in contemporary fiction in a LONG TIME. She's extraordinary in this book, an all-black-wearing teacher with a steely gaze and soft heart. I mean, come on. I adore her.

Martin is extremely good too (and Bea! His amazing daughter YES!). They fit together so well. Highly recommend!
