⭐⭐⭐ Pretty Good
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really Good
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Omg Amazing

Enjoyed: Queer representation, appreciation for nature, sisterhood, empowering women

Disliked: the plot twist was a little too "out there" for me

The first chapter was crazy, and then it got weird and I couldn't put it down! Pretty Little Liar vibes! The MMC, Mars, is gender fluid. He has wicked awesome strength of character, and his quips throughout the book are actually pretty funny! I learned a few things, about this identity and Bees, of all things! Seriously though, the weirder this got, the more interested I became. The setting was perfect for the plot. My biggest harp is how things ended with Wyatt, a fellow camper. I will need to read more from this author.

Most of this score is coming from the readability and bit of fun I had reading this. It did fall short of establishing a strong atmosphere or delivering chills, though it did try. I wanted to like this a little more than I did, but I can't deny that it's a good book. Just didn't reach me in the way I hoped.
