I've been going through a strong fantasy book stretch. When I first started with this book, it took me a little bit to find my feet again, but when I did it grabbed me and didn't let go. I was in actual tears by the end of it. It was such a wonderful story. Well worth a read.

Sometimes there is adventure and living before you get your true love story. Jack and Ellie's story is timeless and classic! Love stories and romance are not my genre at all. A dear friend told me I had to read The Keeper of Stars! I'm glad I did! It was a very nice change of pace. It was a quick easy read for me (finished in 2 days). It has romance but not too much if you catch my drift. Such a beautifully written love story that many would probably relate to in today's world.

I need to preface my review that this was only partly my choice for a read. My friend gave me a short list of books to choose one for reading and annotating.
But this book ended up being enjoyable for a contemporary fiction book. I loved that Ellis is unapologetically a scientist and Jack wears his heart on his sleeve.
Overall this was enjoyable and heartwarming.

I grabbed this at the library, because I enjoy romance now and then, but I disliked nearly everything about this story. The dialog feels stilted and off. It’s set in Tennessee, but the characters build fires to “knock off the chill” on summer evenings (let me tell you, there’s no chill and a fire would be hellish). Both of the main characters are kind of jerks and I liked them less and less as the book went on. There’s just so much…Maybe it just comes down to not being my cup of tea.
This is the first book I have read by Buck Turner and I just loved it. First of all, the cover is gorgeous. This was such a beautifully written love story. A love story of a small town boy and a city girl and how their love overcame so many obstacles. Even after so many years nothing could change how they felt about each other. I enjoyed all of the characters and the author made them come to life. I could picture being on the water and the beautiful scenery. I cried a few times both sad and happy tears. This is a book that is just a nice simple love story. An easy read and it just had me hooked from the beginning. Jack and George’s friendship was wonderful and I liked how Jack went to him for advise. I enjoyed how both Jack and Ellie both had dreams they both worked hard for. I can’t wait to read more by Buck Turner and I definitely would recommend this book. I received a complimentary copy of this book and am leaving a review voluntarily.

The Keeper of Stars by Buck Turner was a good solid read that had many of the tropes that I annoy reading. If you find tropes like Tropes : He falls first, Second chance romance, a female main character who is a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Professional, told via Multiple timelines and Dual POVor if you fell in love with Allie and Noah in Nicholas Spark's The Notebook, then this book will whisk you away in a sweet and touching story of love found and lost, hearts broken and mended, and the strength of Love and Souls to find their back to each other.
I really enjoyed the way that Ellie and Jack's story was kept alive through his written story and that his words were the ones that cause her to question what she thought she knew and begin her on a journey of exploration and reunion. Science meets art and the balance of that pairing creates change. I liked that message that love is that point.
