Really great addition to the main story!

I didn’t think I would like anyone as much as Alexus and Raina, but Neri and Nephele really stepped it up!

I was really glad this started off right after City of Ruin, because I was dead after that ending. This book gives us a lot of good information on what has happened in the past and what’s to come in the next book. Plus the banter and spice is exceptional. Definitely need to read if you plan to finish the series!

fast-paced

My love for this series is never ending, and that is still true with this book.

I loved learning more about Nephele, about Neri and the story that was developing. The chemistry was there between them, but to me, it didn't go as deep as with Alexus and Raina, they are still my favorites. And Alexus is such a special character, not alike many other in the world of romantasy, while Neri fits perfectly all of tropes of a morally gray MMC.

The action was there, but to me, this book is the perfect introduction to book 4 and all that awaits us there, and I can't wait for it!

Think of this book like Tower of Dawn in the TOG series - it's good, it has some excellent plots and revelations, new characters and relationships, but you still wait for the Kingdom of Ash to wrap it all up.

Awful the only plot in this happens during the last 10 minutes, the rest is cringey smut
