Oh no, oh no. This book is like a bad version of I Know What You Did Last Summer. As a movie review as well as a bookish reviewer, I enjoy the fast paced-ness of the book and the way its written like a movie. I really love that about it, but every thrill, every twist was expected. It was nothing different than seeing a bad movie on Netflix.
For me, it lacked a lot, other than a few scared and a few laughs. Nothing was special. Sorry.

Cheesy fun. Reminded me of the mid 90s Christopher Pike books I used to enjoy. Nothing groundbreaking, or even really surprising, but a solid little suspense book.
I probably should not have read this before bed. I found myself really tense and looking for the source of noises from my bed. While I thought I had this figured out with who the murderer was, I was surprised to find out who it really was. Initially I thought it was going to be one of those traditional urban legend books, and it was, once Meg found the journal and started reading about how each of the people at the "party" had wronged the girl. The planted DVD, the radio removal from the boat, the paint on the wall; pretty predictable. The constant rainy weather and mood was also pretty predictable, but overall, I liked it and I think that readers looking for scary will be drawn to it and talked into reading it. A YES vote for me.
'Ten' blows horror/suspense out of the water. Vibrant and very vivid, you’ll think you’re on the island trying desperately to avoid death from an unknown killer – most likely one of your new friends. Well written, 'Ten' demands visceral reactions from its readers as instinct to hide or turn the page and go deeper into the mindset of each character. Simply put, it’s gleeful terror in perfection.
First I am generally not a fan of who done its, but I liked this one. Was it original? Some parts but more like twists to plots we have already seen. It's hard to review it without giving it away. I didn't see the killer being who it was but how could you. A small fact just barely acknowledged was the BIGGEST clue as to who the murderer was. Well done.

It was fine for a YA thriller/mystery , and once you get past the first~7 chapters, the book moves quick.
