Oh Gavin! I just loved his love for life! We should all live like Gavin lives. You are hooked into Gavin from the very first page. He is larger than life and a wild child. He is not scared of anything and it shows. You would think he doesn’t seem like there is much to him, but oh you’d be wrong. He has depth and he hides behind his jokes and lust to life. He is just a great guy. He loves his family and his job.
Skyler is a shy, scared of everything, quirky author. She is also off limits to Gavin since her father is his boss. She is brought out of her comfort zone by Gavin deciding he will be her friend. And on the way to showing her how to “live life” he falls for her and she falls for him.
What a great continuation of the Bailey story. Loved reading more about Asher and Evan’s life. The mystery, that I didn’t think was going to be soo exciting, continues to heat up in this book! I can’t wait for the next installment!!!!

This was fine. It felt a little too surface-level. You know when they say “show, don’t tell”? Yeah, this book had very little of that.
I quite enjoyed Gavin’s development and watching him start to experience deeper feelings and relationships was great. But Skylar was a hard character to get into. It felt like Gavin was constantly there for her, but she wasn’t there for him at the same level. I prefer it when the relationships are 50-50 rather than one saving the other.
Overall it wasn’t a bad read- it was quick and there were some laughs, but I didn’t get any butterflies like I did with the first books in the series. I had really high hopes for Gavin’s story, but I’m a little bummed that it just wasn’t for me.
