Excellent beach read! Funny, good tale, liked it much better than the Stephanie Plum mystery I read.

Not fond of NASCAR, not fond of the heroine. A poor imitation of the Stephanie Plum series. Maybe the second one is better...but I doubt it :)

I love how Janet's books always, ALWAYS make me laugh. She has a knack for narrating the most serious situations in a way that makes you chuckle.

My first experience with an Evanovich novel. Fun to read, but the characters were a bit too cliche and transparent to be something I would recommend to others. I have no inclination to read the sequel - I think I will skip straight to the Stephanie Plum series.

When you need a good laugh, always reach for Janet!

Love this character!

Everyone kept saying how this just wasn't as good as Stephanie Plum, and just way lowered my expectations. So when I actually read it, it was better than I expected and I liked it! Yeah, it's missing Ranger, but it still had the elements of the other books that I enjoy: comedy, unrealistic and goofy plot, incompetent bad guys, lucky as heck good guys, etc. All in all, it was definately worth my time, and I'm going to start on the next one right away.

Good story, but there are too many narcissistic NASCAR references by Hooker.

Fast paced, and perhaps more frantic than funny. A light, enjoyable read, but nothing more than that.

Funny murder mystery with a NASCAR setting!! I'm in heaven!
