I don't know why i didn't love this book more. I think it might be a mood thing, because when i think about this book I love it. I love the characters, the way the plot is building, how each situation is building on the next to really involve all of the characters in this massive war. The plot twists are ones i would NEVER see coming, and I love it. But it took me 6 or 7 months to read which is weird for me.

I have no words to do justice to this amazing series, and this book. So much has happened and not enough. I need vengeance.
This picks up right where [b:Valor|40651803|Valor (The Faithful and the Fallen, #2)|John Gwynne|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1530056552l/40651803._SY75_.jpg|26208659] left off, and it just doesn't let up. As soon as our heroes catch a breath (and the reader too); the action begins again. Some of the actions that happen, are not physical violence, but emotional and mental. We learn things that should never have been told. Some secrets are best left unsaid.

Another great entry in the series.
Lots of interesting POVs but world-building is a bit generic at times.
The first half of the book is very slow and sets up a lot. The second half is all action and surprises.
Looking forward to the last book in the series.
