Among my favourite novels. Never fails to end a reading slump. Patrick Ness tackles the dystopian coming of age genre like no other author and the incorporation of LGBT characters whose role in the story is deeper than their sexuality is refreshing. Excellent.

for a long time, anytime I was asked, I'd say this was my favourite book, but I haven't read it since I was 12 and so thought it would be a good idea to revisit. it's still one of my favourite books of all time. that's it. that's the review.
