This incredible book by Agatha Christie is a less known book but like the others was very interesting and also very original and different than other books written by her. Like the others, it kept me interested and entertained through the entire book. The murder was interesting and clever in many ways. It was not simple, like stabbing, shooting or other cliche deaths. The plot was well laid out and easily understandable and didn't hop around like some other books. Christie is able to provide a small suspect pool but still makes it difficult to figure out the murderer. She is able to tease your mind into thinking that you have found out the murderer but, like usual a twists changes your opinion constantly.
The fact that most of the book takes place with the help of Scotland Yard and use of all technology and the murder is still hard to figure out is incredible. It is incredible that even with the help of many, murders can be just as hard to solve. The fact that Christie can keep the reader entertained and write an intricate story, that is still hard to figure out. I would recommend the book to everyone because it provides an excellent story and and an exciting story. I really enjoyed this book and I hope that anyone else who reads it will enjoy it as much as I did.

pacing was a little slow for my personal taste but the final chapter really piqued my interest

One of my favorite aspects of this Poirot adventure is the way Christie writes the first fourth or so of it, particularly the parts where she goes inside each of the passengers minds as they are getting ready to take off and in the air. Christie has SUCH a sharp way of capturing humans and their habits in even just a couple of sentences and I just love how she winds together all their crossing paths and motivations.
The plot gets a touch laggy around the halfway point, but nothing too bad. There are plenty of red herrings in here, too; it's so enjoyable to poke at them and follow my own little trains of thoughts to see what I can come up with! It may not always be the right answer but it's fun either way.

As with every Christie novel, I generally enjoyed the process of reading "Death in the Clouds". However, I have to admit that this is probably one of my least favourites thus far. Though I am an admirer if Hercule Poroit and his methods, I found the plot and the investigation process quite long-winded and very little thrilling. The last 30 pages, I was finally hooked and could not put the book down - however, this is quite late for a Christie novel, I find.
Nevertheless, I was - as always - quite surprised at the end. I suspected the murderer one time during the plot but never with this backstory.

Right in line with the series - appreciated the more contained nature of the case. Only struggled with the narrator's accent of the French character being too similar to Poirot's for my ear.
