some of the stuff that happened here really bothered me and made me uncomfortable

the first time i read this series was in like 2013 right after the anime aired and it is just as silly and cute as i remember it being...

This book is really something else man. Like the love interest took his pants off in class, was literally being used for money, slapped the main mc accidentally and only just said sorry and also kept a pet chicken named Nagoya all in one volume.

He also confessed that he liked her then when the main mc a few pages down was also like I like you then he was just like i don’t think I like you in the same way that you like me.

Most iconic line in this volume hands down is ‘I will make you fall in love with me’. I was just like you go girl!!

I really like the main girl and i just love how she’s such a strong female character who really just is so academically driven and while i hate studying to my core, I really admire her for her drive and I identify it as something I really desire to have.

All in all, I like this volume but the humor just isn’t my cup of tea.

I've been eyeing this manga for a long time and finally had a chance to check it out via my library.
Overall it's a great start to the series. The artstyle is cute and enjoyable as well.

Mizutani is a student that's heavily focused on her academics to the point where you could say she hasn't really experienced much else in life. Her personality comes off as distant and introverted, and it appears as though she doesn't actually have any friends. That all changes when she has to take Haru, who's been suspended for beating up bullies, missed classwork. Haru is excitable, extroverted and has a quick temper. He interprets Mizutani's act as one of friendship. And so that kicks off their relationship. Of course it's rocky at first. Shenanigans ensue. But by the end, Mizutani begins to realize that perhaps having Haru as a friend isn't a bad thing and that it's okay to care about more than just academics.
