This was a random audible original that I picked because I heard of tan being one of the queer eye guys. I wasn't expecting to get side splitting stories featuring gay, lesbian and trans people and it was amazing.

While I definitely loved the entire production, this was not really a book. I'm not sure if they used clips from standup shows or brought everyone together strictly for these recordings, but it sounds like live recordings at comedy shows bookended by some bits of narration. Definitely enjoyable.

A nice selection of personal stories but I wish it included a couple of voices from the much ignored + in lgbt+. There tends to generally be a lot more focus on lesbian and gay personalities in the media and I appreciate that they included a few transgender stories in this collection. We can always strive to be a bit more inclusive!

Feels a bit like cheating to count this as a book... much more of just a radio show, really.

So many of the stories were wonderful! False advertising that "all parts of the LGBT community are represented" when they didn't include any stories of bisexual folks. Really genuinely disappointed, specifically in Nikki Levy, for her casual transphobia (i.e. equating womanhood to eggs and the idea of touching "male genitals" as disgusting in her fertility journey. Featuring two trans women storytellers and then being casually transmisogynistic is...gross. Gigi Gorgeous and Alexandra Billings were the most delightful parts of this listen.

Reminded me of listening to a podcast/Moth Radio Hour. :)

So funny. Laughed my way through the first part and then cried my way through the end. The stories shared at the end were so personal and touching. Stories of inclusion and reaching out to other people to let them know they have a place and are not alone.
