Hilarious Audible special with a format that feels like a cross between a podcast and a Comedy Central standup special from the 2000s.

This audiobook's focus is on comedic and also heartfelt skits about being queer. Hilarious cast, I laughed out loud throughout the entire audiobook.

As the great Michelle Visage would say “Do you like gay shit? Then read this!” That’s pretty much my thoughts after reading this. Whether you’re super straight or super gay or somewhere in between you will absolutely find something to relate to and laugh about in this hilarious and gay AF audiobook. You definitely don’t have to be gay to love it though, my extra straight mom was laughing along with me at these stories. There’s just something universal about laughter and emotions, we all feel them and we all relate to them. All that mushiness aside, my fellow queers will definitely get a kick out of this one. I mean we have stories from everyone from Shangela to Gigi Gorgeous and ALL narrated by the queer icons themselves, you can’t really ask for a gayer and more amazing audiobook. Highly and super gayly recommend this one!

An Audible Original: this was a short and sweet listen. Basically a collection of stand up from LGBTQIA comedians, yet not always necessarily funny. Story-telling comedy. Every story was wonderfully performed, hilarious when appropriate, heartwarming or heartbreaking when appropriate, and educational always.

Not at all what I expected. I chose this book as one of my two free Audible originals without reading the description because Tan France was on the cover. I expected a mini memoir. Not disappointed though. This feels more like a podcast, a series of personal stories by different people broken up by commentary from Tan France and Nikki Levy. The interludes didn’t really add much to the collection of stories, but I didn’t find them annoying or intrusive.

The main reason why I'm rating this how it is is because the stories aren't by the 'Narrators' on the title of this really don't do the stories justice.

I loved every single story shared by each queer individual and the in-between narrations felt stilted and forced.

I do recommend it, I'd just be mindful that if you're expecting to hear more from Tan France and Nikki Levy, that's not where the magic lies - the magic lies in all of the stories.

This Audible original is so fun. All the stories are funny and some of them are sweet and lovely, and Emma Willmann's had me cry-laughing on public transit.

As one of my free Audible Original audiobooks, this was an enjoyable short listen. I can't say I'm completely objective as I am obsessed with anything Tan France and nearly gave it five stars just on that fact alone. That said, some of the narration in between stories was a little off. Still, a fun little audiobook.

Wow, such a stunner. Thank you for this extremely personal set of stories, told in the author's own voices. Funny and raw, I learned a lot...I had No idea...
