NO. WHY. NO #NOPE

What's with the books I've been reading lately? Or is it me? I'm disappointed. This book started sooo well, the characters were funny, their interactions were hilarious. Travis had this bad boy vibe going on that I love. Then all went down the drain. Half way through the book she becomes annoying as fuck, the best friend becomes annoying as fuck, the guy becomes annoying as fuck. FUCK.

This book could have been shortened 100 pages if she had made up her mind and stopped being so uptight.

Edited August 9th 2018** I just listened to the audiobook version. Really enjoyed listening to it this time.

Edited July 2nd** I turned this from a 4 🌟 review to a 5 🌟 for the simple reason that after over a week (and 5 other books) I still can't get Travis out of my head. I've replayed some of my favorite scenes of this book over and over again in my head. Travis earned a 5 🌟 review in my opinion.

the first 30% of this book I had this ridiculous smile on my face. Like absolute ridiculous smiling ear to ear. From 30%-60% the smile started to fade, and frustration started to set in. I loved Travis (he was ridiculously fu**ed up, but I loved him). I started out loving Pidge as well, but by the 50% mark I couldn't stand her. At 60% I was so freaking mad at Pidge I just about through my kindle. After that the book was alright.

***edited to add that another one of pet peeves with this book is the absolute crazy amount of times the word Giggle was over used in this story made me want to scream!

I respected the heck out of Pidge at first, she was a stand up girl and I really enjoyed her character, but like I said by the 60% mark I was so frustrated with her character I almost put the book down. I love my fair share of angst, but this was straight up bipolar. The ending was pretty good, but instead of walking away with a smile and a wonderful HEA feeling I typically get with my romance books I finished the book with a feeling of when is Pidge going to go bipolar on Travis and leave him again (my guess would be 2 weeks max going by her previous behavior)

The ending lacked something for me. I wanted to give this book a 5* review so bad, but I just can't. The book is cute, and I will definitely reread this story again, but I just am super disappointed in the main character.

Honestly I’m forcing myself to finish this book, abby is so annoying she’s such a pick me girl! And don’t get me started on travis he’s so irritating and the way he throws child tantrums every time something doesn’t go his way sets me off.

More of a story of two stubborn people that fail to see what was in front of them the whole time. Their love of one another. Easy to ready, but not overly steamy IMO.

Whew, I can relax! That was an emotional roller coaster from start to finish. Abby, and her best friend America have moved half way across the country to start their first year in college, and a new life for Abby. Travis Maddox is a man-whore, he fights at night to pay his bills, and tuition. He is famous for his one night stands, and never takes a phone number. When America starts dating Shepley, Travis roommate, and cousin it is inevitable that they meet. Travis is dumbfounded that Abby is immune to his charms. She refuses to be another of his flock of women. They quickly become good friends, but Abby is determined to start over, live a different life, and she won't let Travis in. During one of the fights, Travis claims that he only lets his opponents get a hit in for show. They make a small bet, if Abby wins Travis has to abstain from sex for a month. If Travis wins, Abby agrees to spend the next month with Travis.

****************************Spoilers********************************** Abby starts dating Parker, while doing her best to conceal her growing attraction to Travis. Parker is a schmuck, and everything that Travis isn't. He is sophisticated, wealthy, and on the ideal career path to becoming a doctor. Travis is the hot, funny, and even intelligent bad boy. Eventually she, and Travis give in, and decide to be a couple, FINALLY! Their relationship is all about extremes. Extreme highs, and extreme lows, that leaves even the reader drained! Their relationship is on again, off again, but of course it all works out in the end, and the book was freakin awesome!

Romaticising abuse. Similar to After by Anna Todd. It isn't the worst I've read but please, be critical and understand that while enjoying this is fine, thinking that the behaviours portrayed in this book are in any way something to wish for is not. Travis is abusive.
