Really enjoyed this book overall. I found it a little tricky to get into but then proceeded to read it in basically two sittings. The characters are well written and the book deals with a lot of big ideas and issues in a YA friendly way. I would have loved for it to be much longer and really had an opportunity to explore some of those in greater detail. Definitely recommend

Thank you to Sophie Gonzales for picking me to be apart of the street team for this book, and thank you NetGalley and Wednesday Books for access to the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS. I can't ever say no to a royalty romance, especially a sapphic one at that. I love that the author did dual POV for this book, as I think having both Danni and Rose's voices enhance the story very well. I also could relate so much to both Danni and Rose on either feeling too much/not feeling at all. The friendships in this book also really had me in my feels. I thank the author for actually using the word lesbian, as that doesn't happen often with lesbian characters. There were also some twists in here I wasn't expecting but definitely added to the plot! This book discusses heavy topics so please do read the content warnings beforehand. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone!

3.5-4⭐ A boarding school, secret royal romance but make it sapphic. Nobody in Particular is a cute YA romance, but an even better coming-of-age story, giving Young Royals x The Prince and Me x a little Princess Diaries vibes.

The romance between Danni and Rose was sweet, if a little rushed, but the character and relationship development between all of the friends is really what stood out for me. Gonzales tackles a lot of the heavier experiences of growing up, and does it well and, mixed with some teenage drama, in a way that feels authentic. Despite some of the topics dealt with, though, the characters felt a little on the younger side of YA at times and I think I would've liked them to be a little older -- but, I also think I would've loved a story like this as a teenager and not had that issue.

CW: underage drug and alcohol use, death from overdose, outing, homophobia, bullying

MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Princess Rosemary of Henland is focused on repairing her tarnished image after a scandal. But when talented pianist Danni joins her boarding school, Rose finds herself distracted. Danni, on a music scholarship, is surprised to be accepted by Rose’s former best friend, who is currently not super fond of Rose As Rose and Danni grow closer, rumors about their relationship spread, forcing them to choose between hiding their bond or risking Rose’s fragile reputation, knowing the palace will do anything to tear them apart.

Ugh this book was so cute! The writing and characters were super loveable, funny, and cute, and at times I could feel the awkwardness and tension between the characters. While this book was cute, it also dealt with really intense topics. I felt that this helped the characters experience a lot of growth and development, which made this story very dimensional.
I listened to the audiobook, and felt that the narrators really benefitted the story. Their intonation and emotion helped push the storyline and really fit.
Overall - I highly recommend this and enjoyed this book!

This was one of my most anticipated releases and it did not disappoint!! I always love Sophie’s writing, and I loved the sapphic royal spin this took. Just the right amount of drama for a YA novel without feeling cheesy. Also the whodunnit aspect was so fun (for a very not fun reason).
I for sure thought it was Harriet that told outed them! Or I guess she kinda did but Alfie, that little shit.
This is a must read!
