not giving this a full 5 stars because the audiobook gave me the ick a little bit. listening to the spicy scenes was a lot aurally. just a personal preference but i don’t think i enjoy listening to romance books—the narrator was great!
first emily henry book and i am such a fan! miles is, i fear, my ideal man. would give anything to read this from his point of view. also like how daphne prioritized herself & her friendships instead of losing her entire personality to a man !!

This is possibly my new favorite Emily Henry Book??? Let me explain... I am a fanfic girly through and through and I refuse to be ashamed of it. The basis of this book is basically a fanfic trope. How could I not love it. Also, I've gotten so tired of brooding men in romance novels and the love interest in this was basically just Sunshine Man/simp. Okay maybe sunshine isn't quite the right word, but if you read it you'd understand. Anyway, I loved this--- Holly can attest (sorry Holly for all of the videos).

I thought this book was so clever and well-written. It wasn’t totally predictable (in a good way) and the end made me cry (also in a good way). Loved the character development, especially with Daphne.

SOOOOO GOOOOOOD. from then very beginning this plot had me locked in. I absolutely love the close proximity trope and just the drama of it all it was sooo good and intriguing. i'm pretty sure i went through this emily henry book the quickest bc ik i was gonna love it the whole way and i just wanted more. Ashley's character is perfect and i just love the character development. I totally understand why people say this is her best book.
