Ugh I love everything she writes. It's MORE than just a romcom, it is a deep well of emotions. I laugh, cry, blush, get embarrassed, the whole works. Funny Story was no different.
Funny Story follows Daphne and Miles in the aftermath of breakups. Where their SOs begin dating (then get engaged) each other. I loved both characters and their growth in this story. Becoming more confident in themselves and emotions.
This one will stick with me for a while. It was special.

I was enjoying this book a little, I like Emily Henry’s writing style and liked the more realistic interactions but I really struggled with the main plot of pretending to date to get back to your ex. I also found it too spicy for my liking. I think I just don’t like romance as a main plot. I much prefer it as a secondary plot line.
