i have to chew on this one for a while…. it was good.. i liked it … but since i am a massive complainer i will say like .. im not saying trauma isnt real but sometimes in books when people can get to the exact root of their trauma and then just ….fix it? its like insane to me and highly unrealistic and dare i say a huge pet peeve ina book for me. I don't know it seems like it would be a more complex process than what the characters in the book go through. BUT you know what? any book with a good friendship aspect always gets me so i loved ashleigh and i loved the idea of being happy w the imperfections of life.

This book fell short for me. I felt there was a lot going on and some things were discussed in too much detail when that space could have been taken up by other parts of the story. There was also a lot of minor characters and details crammed in that were somewhat unnecessary, and I say this as a huge fan of Emily Henry’s world-building, this time it didn’t work as well for me. I did still love Daphne and Miles however hate the fact that in real life there’s no man that is or will ever be as emotionally intelligent as him.
Not a bad book by any means but not my favourite Emily Henry either.

A very sweet love story with a happy ending of course. Didn’t feel boring at all and loved the main character’s banter. I liked the way the book was written. I don’t like when a book makes the content too modern, it makes me cringe and can’t read past it, if that makes sense. (Sorry terrible at explaining) luckily this book doesn’t do that so I enjoyed reading it.

It’s a really cute and easy plot to follow. Super likeable characters but some parts felt drawn out
