It does what it says on the tin really! Not much more to add. It is a beautifully visual book and great for Harry Potter fans but there are glaring errors in the text that are easy to stop. For example it is not true that when Umbridge became headmistress she sacked Sybill. Sybill was fired while Dumbledore was headmaster and he insisted that Sybill could still live at Hogwarts. Umbridge became headmistress after Dumbledore left.

A lovely book with information about all the magical places in the Harry Potter movies and it is filled with [the most] beautiful concept-art, illustrations and photos.
This is an awesome book for everyone who loves Harry Potter and also wants to know about the magic behind the sets. I loved it.

This is a beautiful book that is amazingly well done. There are great film stills, detailed concept art images, and interesting blueprints. There are so many interesting different facts and tidbits that you would never learn by just watching the movies. It's so cool to read about different tricks of set design, or how detailed the sets really are. There are a bunch of different "chapters" with pages about different places. There's the Dursley house, Hogwarts, the grounds, classrooms, Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, wizarding homes, and more. The writer has included many snippets from interviews with the director, set designer, set dresser, and other influential people that let you into the world of building a set. There are stories of challenges, inspiration, and laughter for pretty much every different place mentioned in the book. This awesome book looks great on the coffee table and will ignite conversation between any Harry Potter fans. Your HP collection is definitely not complete without it!

Review - I really love the sets from the Harry Potter films, so this was a fascinating read for me - some of the tricks they use are astounding (not to raise any spoilers!) and this book reveals just some of them, along with input from the actors and crew. These behind the scenes books from Jody Revenson are a unique insight into how a massive film franchise that is so loved by its fans is created and brought to life.

Beautiful photos and artwork and great illustrations. Very informative to any fans of the Harry Potter movies. I would recommend this to anyone interested in the series or behind the scenes information about how the movies were made. I loved this book. 5 out of 5 stars.

Jälleen yksi Harry Potter -aiheinen tietokirja, tällä kertaa elokuvissa ja kirjoissa esiintyneistä paikoista. Kirja on jaettu osiin, joiden alle on koottu siihen sopivia paikkoja ja alueita. Erilaisia kuvia on teoksessa runsaasti aina konseptikuvista elokuvien seteissä otettuihin kuviin asti ja ne on toteutettu hyvin. Tekstiä on sopivasti ja se valottaa kunkin paikan taustoja sekä luomisprosessia valkokankaalle. Pientä miinusta oikoluvusta, yhdessä kappaleessa lause loppui yllättäen kesken ja kappale jatkui alempaa täysin erilaisella lauseella. Lisäksi pieniä kirjoistusvirheitä oli siellä täällä, mutta ne eivät lukemista erityisemmin haitanneet, toisin kuin tuo suurempi moka. Näin Harry Potter fanina jälleen yksi pakollinen ostos omaan kirjahyllyyn, sen verran hienosti teos on toteutettu.
