4.5 because it is well written and compelling but the plot at the center of the book doesn’t seem worth all that happens

It’s quite difficult to talk about The Plot (by the way, brilliant title and book cover, I already feel sorry for whoever will need to localise this in different languages) without giving away too much about the story, but it’s definitely very well constructed and written.
Only one thing, the author loves to include additional observation in brackets and she abuses this throughout the novel, personally it doesn’t bother me but it might drive some people insane.

The Plot is a slow burn thriller, with a bit of an obvious twist. However, it’s worth a read, for the plot alone. ;)

The premise of the book was interesting which is why I initially decided to read it. However, I managed to guess all the twists before they were revealed. Making the ending anticlimactic and expected.
