Re-read review- AGAIN 6 ⭐️ I will never not love this book. You are instantly hooked from the beginning. You fall in love with the main and supporting characters. Also DARIEN CASSEL. He is a murderous beast but also a SIMP. Love love love love love love

Holy!!! This book has been on my TBR for so long now and I heard nothing but good things about it. SOOO GLAD I DECIDED TO READ! I have been in a fantasy reading slump since I finished Onyx Storm at the beginning of the year and this was just the book I needed to get out of my slump. I will say my least favorite thing was the page length, it was about 700ish pages and I do not think it needed to be THAT long but overall, I loved this book. The FMC was a little too helpless for my taste at first, but as time went on I grew to like her. Now ... Darien... Cassel... this man!!!!! Adding him to my favorite MMC list immediately! He was screwed from the moment he met Loren, I knew he was going to be a goner for her. He is the definition of unhinged but will burn the world down for his girl! I really hope we get to see more of the side characters and their storyline in the next book. I know that Loren and Darien are the main characters but I am a sucker for a book with lovable main characters AND great side characters as well. The dynamic of the Seven Devils really intrigued me. Cannot wait to start the next book!

If you liked Mortal Instraments you will like this book, because its better. I love the world createdin this book. The action in the end was fantastic! I cant wait to read the next book.
The relationship building in this book has such a great slow simmer, and the smut was at a realistic rate, and didn't over take the book or story line.

Re: comparisons to CC, those are people who never read urban fantasy. The author started writing this years ago in h.s.
I had one issue which was that FMC was too young. But otherwise really great and will read the next.
