In the words of my son, "that was a good story, Momma."

I love children's books and so am delighted to be a granny now and have an excuse to buy new ones!
This has a laugh-out-loud ending. Just delightful!

This was the second pop-up in my frog program, and the boys had settled down with the first. This kept their attention too and they seem to have forgotten about the early learning computer.

A wide-mouthed frog visits different creatures, asking them (in a mildly irritating way) what they eat...only to meet a scary alligator who eats wide-mouthed frogs!

An absolutely hilarious story (that works well as an oral story around the campfire or in a classroom) with wonderful illustrations in this pop-up book.

Storytime:
Animals

Always a hit at story time, whether it's the flies and the worms that frog and bird are eating, or the scariness of alligator, or the silliness of frog with his mouth puckered up!
(Dec. 2019)Still a hit! Everyone loves that final splash! I had to buy this one for myself as my current library doesn't buy pop-up books, but I take it along on outreach whenever I think of it, and it's still a huge success.

I just remembered this book existed when I was making my rounds shelving in the preschool library and had a private little cry to myself. My mother used to recite this story to me by heart, I'm not sure I'd ever known there was an actual book before today. My mom and I haven't had a relationship in about four years now, but it's nice to remember the time when we did.

This is a very nice, brightly-colored pop-up book that is perfect for a pre-school-aged story time program. The short story is about a frog who is interested in what other animals eat...until he meets an alligator!
Annotation: This is a great pop up book and the story is fun to tell. The more expression the better.
Age - Good for 2-6 years but with the caveat that they need to be gentle with the pictures.
Connection to six early literacy skills
Print Motivation - This is a great book that motivates children to read. It is fun and funny.

Opinion- I like this book and it would be great for a story to go along with a frog themed unit.
