This was tense and emotional. I loved the writing style and felt on edge the whole time. However, every single scene was so short—some only a paragraph—and it left me wanting more. Same thing with the ending. So brief and abrupt. I would have loved this story to be fleshed out a bit more with the ending expanded upon, but otherwise this book hit hard.

I enjoyed some parts of this books. The things people do to the characters are atrocious, and I felt sad at some point. Raya was left alone in many ways. Thinking that this had happened in rea life makes me sadder.

Wow, this book.. wow. It was so sad to see what people will go to to try to change other people. I knew the story of Orpheus and Euridice before reading this so I was curious to see how it would end. The councilors in this book were just as I would think from a camp that would specialize in 'healing'. Overall this was a very moving book and I was surprised by it.
