It was frustrating to read because so many of the characters were unlikable. This is only the second book in the series, so maybe Louis gets better and grows as his story continues, but I don't think this "serious, hard-boiled, gritty detective" style is for me. I could tell what style of the genre the authors were attempting to emulate here and they did a fairly decent job of it from an objective viewpoint, but I think I'm getting off this ride here.
