4.5
Friends to lovers is such an elite trope and I love how being best friends was never something that changed even as Alexis and Noah became something more. Their friendship stayed super important to both of them, which is absolutely adorable. I spent a lot of the book as frustrated with Alexis’ new family as Noah but I still respect the way she handled it with grace - truly not how everyone would have reacted! Can’t wait for more meddling book club antics in the next book!
POV: dual third person omniscient
You can expect: friends to lovers, he falls first, sexual assault survivors and healing, business owner FMC, hacker/computer security business owner MMC, newly discovered family, secrets, meddling friend group.
Rep: anxiety, kidney failure, transplant, grief
Audio rec?: yes, always supportive of Andrew Eiden
Spice: 2/5
CW: past sexual assault/harassment, nearby business owner with victim blaming mentality, discussion of kidney failure and kidney transplant (non graphic), death of a parent in the military, death of a parent from cancer.
Moderate: Death of parent and Chronic illness
Minor: Sexual harassment

2.25
Between that and the all the drama that I didn't really care about anymore towards the end, I'm giving this 2.25⭐, because at least I get to see the Bromance Book Club being chaotic once again.
