I had my doubts but in the end this was quite a powerful book. So many different elements but ultimately about taking back control of one's life.

I've always been fascinated by the concept of how people wouldn't believe you if something supernatural was happening in your life and this book plays with that concept a lot. 

I also found this to be an interesting discussion on abusive relationships.

I’m not sure that I’ve ever facepalmed from a book as much as this one made me. The characters were frustrating, to put it nicely. The plot was also completely predictable. The book contained multiple instances of hints that made it very apparent while not saying it outright. I finished in hopes that it wouldn’t be the case, but unfortunately it was.
