This was alright. It was not scary, more comedic with a mystery...If you want to read this for a scare, don't. There's definitely metaphors throughout the book, but I won't mention them to avoid spoilers. Also, I felt like it was super repetitive, even during the wild ending. The repeating of a certain phrase approximately 10,000 times was exhausting. Didn't really care about the main character and the daughter was pretty obnoxious and annoying.

I did predict most of the twists but it was still fun seeing how it all came together, and it did make me start to second guess myself at times. Really fun mix of a lighthearted tone with some pretty graphic horror.

I didn't know if this was supposed to be horrific or hilarious, it turned out to be a roller coaster. When you think you know what's going on something will happen that will knock you down.
