reread this so many times over the years bc its so good 10/10 the writing is perfection and the conversation flows so naturally which is pretty impressive for a wattpad novel and i always liked how the relationship is steadily paced and well developed also the chemistry is amazing

but the published novel sucks im sorry it can never beat the og also the published version has a lot more church involvement which i find a bit strange and they got rid of the triplets which im pissed at
and many havoc related events were changed so hes not even that scary anymore hes just a weirdo who likes to write poems and i found that unnecessary, plus kiss scene was altered which also made the archer/hadley relationship rushed and under-developed like where is the zoo scene? did not like how they removed mrs anderson's role as hadley's mentor (?) like she was the goat in the wattpad ver and theres barely any mention of chris and HADLEY DOESNT EVEN MEET HIM WHEN SHE ALMOST DIES??? stopppppp
overall published ver is 2/10

fast paced book with a very juvenile writing style that made it easy to read but because of that very reason i feel like it also had a few plot holes and the ending wasn’t satisfying to me at all and felt kinda rushed. but it was a fun read, read it in 2 days and have no regrets

It's a very quintessentially YA novel. The plot is fine and it's a happy ending story which I like, but there is basically no character development. The two leads of the story are high schoolers and they feel quite flat, there's no real dimension to their personalities.

I also do not understand why Archer tried to commit suicide in the first place, which is the central premise of the book. Its fine overall, but it's not exactly a very memorable read.

So I originally read this book on wattpad years ago and officially brought myself the published version for Christmas and finally got the chance to read it. I got to say that I absolutely loved it. I felt almost like I was reading a new book but it still had the same characters I loved. They were just more developed (not that they weren’t perfectly developed before) I just personally felt like Allison made sure that if she was going to publish she was going to do it properly. I absolutely love this book and recommend anyone who loved the wattpad version to get this version. Especially if you have an appreciation for penguins.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book made me smile so much but I cried my eyes out when I finished it because it was such a beautiful story.

The writing was very typical of a Wattpad story, but bearable.
