this definitely came together in an unexpected (maybe imi’m not as good at predicting endings as some of these reviewers) and satisfying way. there were just some things i found a little unbelievable. the author also tended to repeat details that had already been mentioned which annoyed me became they weren’t adding anything to the story, just seemed like she was trying to hit a word count or something. i kept hearing about this book on tiktok but it was a little underwhelming. enjoyable for sure, but not something i expect to keep thinking about. the characters were very well developed and i liked the perspective shifts. the narrator did a great job too.

THE PERFECT THRILLER! Jennifer Hillier never ceases to amaze me. I was locked in from the first to the last page and never saw the twist coming!

This book was very enthralling, I was hooked and nicely surprised by the ending. I gave it four stars because I enjoyed Marin's character. She was ready to do whatever it takes to find her son, loved her crazy side and her revenge plots as well as her dedication to Derek- she was there for the long run and no one was gonna knock her from the top. Derek- lord he was doing so much for absolutely no reason- loved how it played off of Marin's character. I loved all the major characters in this book- the way the story twisted and winded down the mystery and thriller path was gripping. I recommend to anyone looking to read a quick and fulfilling thriller 4/5 ⭐️
