So much tension, so much anger - I love these idiots. Nordika always manages to make me love a character, even when I'd normally find then abrasive or juvenile. Maddox and Devon definitely fall into that category with their constant push and pull.
However, the say they fight to get to each other, even with fists speaks to the intense chemistry you can feel right from page 1. Looking firward to continuing their story in the next book.

rivals to lovers story, LOTS of tension even when they get together. they hate and fight everyday but are obsessed with each other, very aggressive love. wouldn’t recommend if you don’t like a hate/love dynamic, otherwise it’s a paradise for those of us who do :) no strict top or bottom roles

I really enjoyed reading a book about trailer trash that didn't include a rich person "rescuing" them. Their HEA is A LOT more realistic than most books. They're also both incredibly flawed until the end, but they make it work.

The narration wasn't my favorite. It was kind of hard to tell them apart. One had an odd cadence and it was often hard to tell where sentences ended with him.

“That fucking fucker! He did this to me! With his hard dick and his vulnerable eyes, he tricked me into falling for him. He won me over with taunts and chirps, and he made me angry enough to act on what I really wanted. He fooled me into feeling this way, and shit… I hated him so much. I wanted him so bad.”

Talk about TOXIC CODEPENDANCY
I mean if they believe its love, then who am I to judge? I adore Devon's internal monologue and turmoil and Maddox's very shocked and angry acceptance of his feelings.

If I were their friend, I'd tell them to dream big and live.

Well well well! I finally made it to this book after worrying the hype would be too much.. turns out the hype is well deserved cause this book was rad as hell!!

Maddox and Devon have been rivals their whole lives, their fathers pitting them against each other, rivals in motocross and so angry at each other and ready to fight at the drop of a hat.

But when Devon doesn’t win their race, his dad beats him so badly, that he turns up at Maddoxs trailer looking for his brother -  but no one is around but Mad has to fix him up, this softens something (slightly) between them. There is a tension between them, basically sxual tension but neither are willing to believe that.

Their brothers lock them up overnight together, and they are forced to face that things between them changing to something new.

Just absolutely loved this story, and yes I know I’m late to the club on this one! It was great that they didn’t lose their fight with each other just because more feelings were involved, their tension and chemistry was fabulous, super hot, and can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
