The narrators picked for Maddox and Devon were perfect! The gravelly voices and tension in their voices brought these stories to life!

I think if you are looking for something that is easy to read and doesn't make you feel like you are being forced to read this book is great. It's lighthearted but still has good content. It has a beautiful story that feels real. A lot of reviews I say said there were unrealistic pace to how some relationships in the book advanced but I think that sometimes you need a little unrealistic not so slow burn in books. I want them to fall in love and while I love me a good slow burn sometimes I just want them to fall in love quickly. <Spoilers>I also think people have a hard time with the love story because of the rivalry they have but if you just read carefully you would know that there rivalry was clearly built out of love and not hate from the very beginning. <spoilers>

I liked the whole underdogs, motocross and rivals plot line but that's basically all the good there is to the book. The catalyst for them beginning to fall for each other was so unserious, the relationship development was weak, the characters themselves were even weaker and by the 70% mark the book began unraveling so much it became practically unreadable. Nate and Xavi held my attention more than these two did, I might read the next book in the series just to get to their story.

4.5 stars! Maddox and Devon have lived in Garron Parks their whole lives and have been fierce rivals since they were 10 years old. They compete in motocross against each other and work to piss each other off at every opportunity. One night Devon comes to Maddox's trailer looking for his brother, who is best friends with Maddox's brother, after getting into a fight with his father. Maddox takes in Devon's injuries including a stab wound and helps hide him and clean him up. Maddox has his own strained relationships with his parents and the fact that Devon's dad used him a punching bag makes Maddox feel for Devon.

I really enjoyed the evolution of Maddox and Devon's relationship and found their awakenings to having feelings for a man to be very interesting. They definitely have a volatile relationship where they like to fight as well as make love, but it makes sense with their terrible childhoods and their need for control, having someone to fight with and fight for. I also really loved their relationship with their brothers who worked together to get them to admit their feelings for each other. The only thing was the narrative got a bit repetitive explaining why they were acting the way they were.
