A very toxic relationship but in a consensual way? Definitely subscribed to that toxic masculinity mindset but I still found the relationship somewhat interesting.

Well this was entertaining. Idiots to lovers through and through. Obviously, ignoring these were 25 year old men with toxic parents, living in poverty caused by their parents addictions, filth and in a ridiculous town where people organized fights to hash it out among themselves on a regular basis. (Lol what?)

It was annoying as well. Especially being in Devon’s mind. He went spiraling from the highest to lowest in a matter of a few seconds. God it was exhausting sometimes. But it was all funny at the same time, how he was spiraling up to a point of being ridiculous. And also a little bit sad with all immaturity and insecurity but thankfully he or Maddox would say something utterly stupid right after so it became funnier.

They reminded me a lot of Mickey and Ian lol, throwing punches one second and then kissing in the next. The setting also aligns with “shameless” setup, family-wise. Once they figured out their relationship, they didn’t stop being violent with each other of course, but it was almost endearing, reading them beating each other. Their love language is throwing punches in the face. I liked both of their relationships with their brothers, who are a lot messier tbh. But they were so open and caring for each other.
