Ugh my poor heart. I love a good MM story, and this story had everything!!!!! Maddox and Devon are two motocross rivals from the same trailer park who were pitted against each other by their terrible fathers. The only their either of them want out of this life is to be happy, have a little money, and escape their worthless home lives.
In Garron Park, book 1 of 3, we get the backstory of Devon and Maddox. When they were young they were friends, hung out, got along great but then their fathers got them into motocross and told them they were to focus on their sport and coming in 1st every time which ultimately made them rivals instead. Each time either of them won they were to give that money to their parents to make ends meet around the house, pay off debts, etc. After one of their races where Devon came in second, and Maddox first, Devon showed up at the only place he could think to go to for help after being almost killed by his father, Maddox's house, where they learned really quickly that that line between love and hate was much smaller than they both thought.

I did enjoy it but I don’t know how I feel about this violence based relationship - loved the end, I can’t wait to start the next book.
I did love how they both wanted to be happy. Abandoning Garron and all their troubles was not their priority, being happy and safe was and I loved that for them.
Loved the relationship they have with their brothers, it was cute and warm.

You’re definitely getting trailer park trash with this - but in a good way. The writing and plot wasn’t super nuanced but it doesn’t need to be. It also didn’t feel shallow either, it’s really just two trailer park idiots falling in love and it’s an enjoyable, no-nonsense read. My only downside is that I could not stop thinking about how physically dirty they were like the whole time lmao.

It’s too repetitive and wattpad-y. There’s no valid reasons behind the characters’ actions most of the time, it just feels like they do things to further the plot but then it comes off as forced and unrealistic.
Good lord, this book was so good. I stayed up way too late reading and then finished it as soon as i could. I absolutely loved Devon and Maddox and their story was fantastic. The story was so well written and held my attention the entire time. I loved the storyline and how it showed the struggles of life for them both. This book was not what i expected and it is probably one of my favorites i have read in awhile. Maddox is a broody bad boy and Devon doesn't know when to stop running his mouth and i was here for it. Also the spice was fantastic, i am always pleasantly surprised with how much i love books like this one. I enjoyed reading about them and cannot wait to read book two. Definitely check trigger warnings as this book has alot of topics that can be triggering to some readers but i 10000% recommend this book!
