Mixed feelings about this one.

The grim trailer park, poverty, addiction, and rubbish parents provided plenty of prime fodder for this story to be a great emotional read, but overall it fell short of the mark.

While it’s clear the author wanted to be sure to express the 'fight and fuck' nature of the MCs relationship, the constant repetition of this idea became boring really quickly. It felt like a huge amount of the book was just taken up with both MCs repeating how much they liked fighting with the other. The story lost major points for that and dragged at times because of it.

Gripes aside, I did like both MCs and their brothers, and found myself eager and excited for them to overcome the bad situations they were all in.

Setting was great and the story had a lot of potential, just a shame about all the repetition that felt like filler.

I enjoyed the booked. To the point that I got Lot 62 right after I finished this. The thing about this book was I kept feeling like I was in the beginning of the book. Then near the end I felt like I was in the middle. Then the book was over. I immediately needed more.
