It's a nice book and it fits the trilogy, but I have to admit I enjoyed Howl's Moving Castle much more. Still interesting and I like Charmain and her interesting name.

Such a good book. I loved Charmain and seeing how she develops, and the interactions between characters both old and new were hilarious. While Howl's Moving Castle will always be first in my heart, this was a close second. Read it!

Sadly, this was the weakest of the three Howl books.
I still liked the main characters and the atmosphere, even though it was not as magical and whimsical as in the previous books. I liked Charmain and Peter, but didn't really care for the rest of the cast. Even Howl was super annoying here.
And the plot.. well, there was not much of that. Mostly stumbling from one scene to the next, full of magical creatures and places I didn't care about.
