I liked it well enough until the last chapter. This rating is so bittersweet. I enjoyed the meandering writing style and the main character is flawed yet likable, but the last chapter was too much for me — the characters were just a bit too broken for me to recommend this book to anyone.

This was slow to start, but I really liked the second half. The writing style felt very comforting and I loved the character descriptions and sense of time and place.
