Enjoyed being part of the Nelson family for a while. I think we all told lots of stories during the pandemic. Lara’s was a good one. Loved the narration. Meryl Streep was the proverbial cherry on top.

The sort of novel you fall into and don’t want to come out of. During the pandemic a mother tells her adult daughters the story of her long ago relationship with a famous movie star. A beautiful meditation on the strange chances and meetings that make up a life. A lovely read.
