My goodness, this book! Ralph is amazing. Taking on the single parent life is hard, it gets proven, but he does it...amazingly. Cadence has redeemed herself over the years, but I ended up falling in love with her. The way she cares for Ralph when she doesn't want to just makes my heart so full! Only one kiss is all you ever need!

I didn’t really care for Candace from the other book. I read this book for Ralph! But now I have to say Candace was a whole different person and I absolutely LOVED her. I’m telling you this series just keeps getting better and better each book I go trough.

I enjoy Natasha's books, but for the love of God someone needs to pay attention in the editing, this is a constant problem with all of this series that are connected to each other, if you have read the other books you notice the inconsistencies in the timelines.
Now I love how much she loves Ari, but honestly idk Candace and Ralph are cute but is not a story that I'm going to remember in 3 months

The chemistry between Candace and Ralph was immediate even through some initially awkward exchanges it was clear that they shared a special connection. I felt like Candance also had a special connection to Ari the moment she held her for the first time and all the times after you could feel the love she had for Ari.

Ralph’s awkward moments made him more endearing then with only one kiss he was quite swoon worthy when he was possessive with touches of jealousy he became the most delicious alpha hero. Candace was so loving and had such a caring heart that made her so easy to love she also knew what she wanted in life and was strong enough to take nothing less than everything she wanted.

The first book in this all new hockey series was beautifully written with an impeccable harmony of a heartfelt storyline, entertaining banter, swoon and steam. I shed some tears some sad, some happy, laughed out loud and swooned. I can’t wait for what’s to come for the other players on the new hockey team.

The little glimpses of previous characters was an added bonus to an already amazing read.

My first listen by Natasha Madison. The amazingly hot energy between Candance & Ralph is electric! A hot hockey player & a single dad who is devoted to his daughter? Yes, yes and more yes! Perfect narration by Connor Crais & Ava Lucas. There will definitely be more Natasha Madison books in my future!

Let me start by saying that I loved Candace and Ralph (and adorable little Ari) but the romance aspect fell flat to me.

And it was a bit over the top.

The beginning was a bit slow, nothing much was happening and the sudden confessions of feelings with their inner dialogue threw me off. I almost dnf.

Candace and Ralph obviously had a sexual attraction and definitely cared for each other but I really didn’t see any romance. There was more telling than showing so certain reactions really had me confused because it’s like okay I did not see you guys being this deep in.

And the over use of words (c*ck, scared, baby...) made it hard to focus on scenes.

About halfway into the book it’s when it really caught my attention and it kept me entertained. It’s had it’s sweet moments and it’s funny moments. Overall it was a cute book and I definitely loved the ending. There was one thing that I did not agree with but it’s a spoiler so I’ll keep that to myself.

Three stars because I was able to finish it and I loved the characters, all of them. Looking forward to seeing how the next book plays out. I already love Layla.

I don't know if I've ever read a more "Meh" book. The characters were boring with no real personality and the whole relationship and HEA seemed forced.
Then their 'fight' was dumb. Yes, he called her Cassie but the man was with the same woman on an off for years and she was the only person he ever had an intimate relationship with, it was harsh but understandable he said he name in the heat of it all.
And for him to be so surprised that Candace wanted kids? That was obvious but even so, should have been a conversation rather than a fight.
The dramatics that followed were ridiculous. Leaving town and deciding to move because of a fight/break up? Thinking you're having a heart attack and calling 911 when it's most likely just being upset about the fight? I just...no. Ridiculous.
Yeah, I barely finished it and hoped it would get better...it didn't
