I really enjoyed this retelling of the 1991 film. Alan Batson's illustrations really brought it to life by keeping the characters recognizable but with a few stylistic tweaks here and there. While adults can certainly enjoy it (I adored it so much), it is also a great book for younger readers who aren't used to larger chunks of text. That said, it is even better with its companion book 'I Am Belle'.
