I really do love all of the books I’ve read by Lucy score, but this just didn’t do it for me. I don’t know if it was the fact that the story was based on doing a TV show/being on set. I found the FMC a little annoying. The MMC was okay. I felt like her pushing him away towards the end was just…dumb tbh. Like if she knew the MMC the way she did, she could’ve asked about the situation. It made me like the book less because I can’t stand when there’s a miscommunication and someone chooses to say nothing or hold a grudge against something that was nothing. It made the end of the book feel weird too when she “decides to try again”. She needs therapy asap first of all. Also I couldn’t stand her mom ommmmggggggg!

This was my start towards reading spicy books and I think it was pretty good. Felt like a cosy read to me. The spice in the book was tastefully done (not too much just right), and the buildup to the spice was excellent imo. If I were to sum up the book without giving a lot away it’s ‘Gannon tries to convince Paige to be in a relationship with him’. Paige is the main antagonist in letting the relationship happen. Once you think she ran out of excuses, she pulls out another. I didn’t have an issue with it but it might annoy some readers. It’s definitely a slowburn spicy romance, and does have some miscommunication thrown in. So if miscommunication isn’t your cup of tea don’t read it.
the characters were extremely bland and felt like they had no chemistry. i get that the book is about a home renovation reality tv show but i couldn't get past how every single page was just details and details about that but little to no details about the character. also WAY too many characters introduced within the first 30 chapters. pacing and writing were confusing. this is coming from someone who's probably DNF'd a total of 4 books in her life. wouldn't recommend
Really a 3.5. But overall I enjoyed it. Was a little annoyed with how adamant she was about not wanting a relationship. We get it. And one part about the OW gave me the ick for a second. But later it was explained and I had less ick about it.
