I can’t handle this you guys. How is the beast (love interest) the guy who pinned her down and was about to grape her? And let his buddies grope her before that? She had YEARS of panic attacks and a shit ton of trauma from it. Nope. Not redeemable.

The curse of the story is very beauty and the beast. But the rest is very different and very romantic. One very sweet young woman and one beast of a male. They meet by accident as she, her boyfriend and another woman decide to check out the mysterious and beautiful abandoned cabin. The cabin may not of been used by the property definitely has an owner. And he doesn’t want anyone there. The story goes into the past and brings up old wounds. We learn a lot about both characters and the mistakes they have made. But this is a romance so expect a few sparks to fly.

A good beauty and the beast story. It was different enough to keep me interested, both modern and realistic (emotions) - while still being fantasy of course. Won't be for everyone because of the sex scenes.

It was a decent read! I love beauty and the beast style books, but for some reason I didn’t fully connect with the characters.

I was not expecting that.

This is a modern uptake on Beauty and the beast with a nice twist to it.

I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. This is a true paranormal romance. The story focuses solely on Sophie and Monster/Hunter. There is no outside drama with other people, it is just them and their need for redemption and forgiveness.

A great read..

I guess I am on a Beauty and the Beast kick. First with The Wish Collector and now with this one. However, they are both very different, with this one more closely resembling the classic tale. If you are a fan of retellings with a modern spin then this is definitely worth the read, though it's not perfect. Monster ticked me off with his actions and secrecy sometimes. I get the reason why things were done the way they were, but it really felt like a betrayal of trust at times and upset me for Sophie's sake. Overall, however, I enjoyed the story and especially appreciated his prehensile, dexterous tail ;) Gotta love those extra appendages.
