they kept dropping hints of Stefano in the main books and I've been v much interested in him... for such a short novella it wasn't so bad, but I think a whole book would've made for an even better story.. ah well this was a quick one on 2.2x
will say I def enjoyed the first part of it more tho, the second was all quick resolution of fam issues, then let's get married, (after like a month of getting to know each other, cos jumping into marriage is obvi the right answer here..) consummate it, then back to work
for such a short novella it did well enough, but it wasn't quite what I was hoping for stefans story lol

I read this ages ago as part of the collection Wild Embrace, but during this latest read-through I went back to find this short story specifically as I had seen many references to Stefan from other Arrows & Kaleb, but couldn't remember exactly what happened in his origin romance. This was a very short, ~30 page novella, but his and Tazia's romance sprouted wings and flew off the page just like any other. Definitely worth the read, standalone or with the rest of the collection!

Echo of Silence - Rated 4 Stars
This one occurs after Visions of Heat. It pairs Stefan a Psy and Tazia a human. Silence hasn’t fallen yet, so for a Psy to feel is a death sentence.
This little novella gives us a peek into Alaris the deep sea station where all three races work together, but most of the story is topside. I liked that we got to see a Human/Psy paring. We haven’t had much of the human element in the series.
I found Echo of Silence to be a sweet read.

This is such a sweet story. I really like the characters and I like seeing a different part of the Psychangeling universe.
