oh my gosh. this was so exciting. i listened to the audiobook and i 10/10 recommend it: this was my first book by this author and oh boy, what an incredibly amazing book! i was 100% hooked right from the beginning! the suspense was killing me and i had to keep on reading. i listened to it at work on my lunch break and i couldn't wait to get free time to listen to the rest! i was always being kept on my toes. the plot may be simple, but the writing, twists and turns, and characters made this one entertaining read! the story is indeed  told from different povs. the non-linear timeline however was a bit confusing to get used to in the beginning but i appreciate that it was done this way. it definitely added more depth and suspense to the story especially when you begin to see the truth behind Wyn's disappearance. the pacing was excellent and i could feel Jess's desperation right from the start. I'd definitely recommend this book, especially if you like psychological thrillers.

A mystery told from the past and the present - where is Jess’ daughter? The drama that unfolds between both adults and children is exciting, intriguing, and will have you second-guessing who to trust. An easy listen that is slow at times but overall a good story.
