Honestly might be one of my favourite books of all time. The plot twists and turns and constantly keeps you on your toes and the characters are deeply flawed but amazing to read and honestly, it’s a masterclass in character work.

The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives in Your Home is my favorite Welcome to Night Vale character, so I was thrilled when I saw the book on the library shelf.

It really digs into her back story, which was phenomenal, with the same dark humor that rides the line of absurdity that can be found in the podcast.

I have really enjoyed other WTNV books but I got to the end of this one and felt kind of disappointed. The story is interesting and excited but ultimately felt like it didn’t lead anywhere. If someone asked me what the major themes of this book were, I honestly don’t know that I could say.

I love these authors more than anything, and I love Nightvale, but I couldn’t hang with the historical fiction. Not enough Nightvale :( and it’s a shame because I love this character.

I loved the ending of this book, as it fits more of the vibe I was expecting from the entire book. It’s not bad, it just didn’t grab my attention the way that I wanted it to
