This book is similar to the other two. I do think it is an interesting premise for a story. More of a teenage boy book than teenage girl. There is more language in this book than the previous two. In fact, I recall that language was not a problem in the other two. The newest character has a potty mouth.

I liked this book way more than I should have. It grabbed me from the first few pages and kept my attention throughout the entire book. When does the next book come out? Ending in the midst of things is going to make this a long wait. The freaking skipping from one POV to another got more than annoying. Especially in the last scene where POV was jumping around from one person to the next during the same scene. When are authors going to get that distinct voice includes writing style and word choice when you are going to jump heads in the same scene. 4.75/5 stars

When I started reading the book, I instantly loved it because of Six's narration. I love Six. Anyway, one of the main factors of me coming to love a book is when it mostly never have any dull moments. And The Rise of Nine did not fail to give me exactly that, this book constantly has events going around. There is not a moment where you think, I want to stop now.

So, yeah, it's a really good book.

Rise of Nine review

“I know what I'm capable of; I am a soldier now, a warrior. I am someone to fear, not hunt.”

Three words. Oh my God. This book was amazing, and with each book of the lorien Legacies they get better somehow. Just when I thought Power of Six was phenomenal this blessing came and grabbed my attention from anything else I had to worry about. I don’t know where to begin but this book had me on edge throughout the whole thing to the point where I read it during classes which I probably should’ve paid attention to.

First off, the different use of POV’s was still used really well in Ron although I wish we saw things from Nine’s eyes too. His character still got to flesh out though through John’s POV. John however, annoyed me. Just a little, but his personality changed somewhere and I can’t pinpoint where or what or why but it irked me. Also his feelings for Sarah kind of cropped up whenever the plot required it, making their relationship feel a little fake. I managed to feel a little sympathy for Sarah in this book, but my general dislike towards her still remains.

Characters I did like particularly in this novel though. Marina was the first, her character remaining true to her original self while still developing. She was just so sweet and innocent yet so aware of the dangers that lurked her and her friends, and her blossoming friendship with Six and Ella were key moments, along with her ties with basically every character. I was also glad to see her power of breathing underwater come to real use; as well as everything else fold together and tie together and make sense. It gave dynamic to the story and emotion and made me love it even more.

My favourite character though, by far, has to be Eight. No questions, but oh. My. God. Eight was just amazing. His character was so quirky and intricate and different to the others, he really shone out. And his powers were also really interesting, ad they really fit his personality living in the mountains and posing as a great god. Everything about his character fitted together so well, and even though he wasn’t in the whole book his character was so well developed and brought out. I instantly fell in love with his character and his relation to Marina was beautiful. Oh man, his personality was just so vibrant and intricate. I want more Eight! Now where is five, and are there any others out there? What about the ships? And the loralite gems?

This book was action packed, and I enjoyed every second of it. When we meet the leader of the Mogadorians, the climax just builds from there. When his powers against the Garde come into place and mess up their success, I felt shattered, and worried and scared and all the emotions. The ending was gripping. All in all, another amazing sequel to the series.

OHHH SI, NENA.

The Rise of Nine me gusto mucho.

¡Me voy a leer The Fall of Five!

P.D: ¿no te ponen nervioso los nombres con números? Ya sabes, que si "El Poder de Seis" o "La Caída de Cinco". Nunca sé si se refieren a la persona o al número de personas. Bue, tal vez es solo cosa mía.

Great addition to the series. I'm loving the way Nine and Four compliment each other and I'm excited for the next book.

I really liked this one! I like how it incorporated every member of the Garde but number 5! I liked that it was fast passed and action packed like usual and I really look forward to seeing where the rest of the series goes. I don't really know how he's going to keep this going for three more books and I'm hoping he changes his mind because I think he could wrap it up in the next book, of a fifth max! I am disappointed that Sam wasn't in this one though =/! Overall I liked is and Joyce if you're reading this you may like it too! I think you should give it another shot ;)!
