Well, dang it. Five enthusiastic stars! I can’t believe this is a debut. It’s so unbelievably magical and creepy and moving and beautiful. The word choice had me kicking my feet (yes, that happens.) The imagery of this strange world was exquisite. It’s smarter and more magical than most books I’ve read, not only middle grade. I borrowed a copy to read and now must get one for myself. Hopefully they still have copies with purple edges. More people should go into the labyrinth of lost and found!
According to the blurb, this could have been written for me! Unfortunately, I couldn’t maintain a connection.
