A short sweet gem of a book! A perfect example of Japanese magical realism. This is a book for book lovers, a manifesto on the importance of books and how they should be treated. It's a love letter to books without being too preachy. Rintaro is an endearing character and who doesn't love a talking cat! I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read.
