I enjoyed a lot of the prose, hard to suspend disbelief enough to enjoy the survival story. I think the author’s worldview on nature and colonialism was too infused into the main character. Maybe it’s a me problem but I want a puritan to have puritan beliefs and explore her world through them.  Gonna go rewatch the VVitch

Never read a book like this. Was not expecting it to hold my attention so much. I just wanted her to be okay

This is an incredible and beautiful book but certainly not an escape from the real world. Haunting and good for people who are into 
 Nonfiction even though it is a fictional story
