The Tanglewood Tea Shop by Lilac Mills

Patisserie-Chef Stevie is stuck in a rut. Her beloved Great Aunt Peggy has passed away, she’s been fired from her job and the love of her life has walked out the door. But when she’s called to the solicitor’s office to hear the reading of Peggy’s will, Stevie’s life begins to change.

Left with a large amount of money, Stevie is determined to take Peggy’s advice and turn her life around. The quirky tea shop that she sees up for sale in the beautiful village of Tanglewood must be a sign, and Stevie can’t wait to make it her new home.

Later books in the series have appealed to me recently, so when I saw that the first book was free on Kindle I thought I would start at the beginning. A small town community, with a little bit of drama leads to a nice comforting read. I thought that this was a nice and easy book to read - it definitely distracted me from the jobs I was supposed to be doing.

I really enjoyed this book. I literally really struggled to put down. I enjoyed the community feel of it and how a city girl became a countywide girl and became a part of the community. I would love to see a story about tia as this would be quite a powerful one and felt she could of done being a more of a main character role along with the rest of the main character.

This was cute!! I love small town romances and this was adorable—it had me giggling and smiling like an idiot at my kindle.

The first half fell a bit slow but the second half made up for it. If you’re not into a SLOW burn, slow burn then this may not be for you. I do wish we got some more of Nick and Stevie but I enjoyed this nonetheless

Loved it from start to finish!!

This book really makes you feel that you are living and part of the village.

I would love to be a part of this village and visit the Tea Shop.

The love story is full of twist.

Village life is truly a bliss.

Highly recommend

I understand it’s a slow burn but the relationship does not progress until I’m in page 180-ish, but I’d recommend it as one of the books that will give you a cottagecore feels.
